Trustpilot publishes a family of APIs at developers.trustpilot.com: Business Units, Service Reviews, Product Reviews, Invitations, Consumer, Categories, Resources, Data Solutions and Deletions (checked September 7, 2026). They are built for a business managing its own Trustpilot profile and are keyed through a Trustpilot Business account; there is no self-serve developer signup for reading any company's reviews. To pull reviews for companies you do not own, use a scraper of the public review pages: Apify listings run from $0.50 to $5 per 1,000 reviews, and Datapika's actor adds a free TrustScore profile row and a deep sweep past the 200-review page limit.
What does the Trustpilot API actually do?
The developer portal lists nine APIs (checked September 7, 2026). Business Units finds a business and reads its public profile figures such as TrustScore and review count. Service Reviews and Product Reviews read and respond to reviews of the authenticated business. Invitations sends review invitations to that business's customers. Consumer and Consumer Profile read a reviewer's public profile. Categories and Resources return reference data. Data Solutions and Deletions cover bulk exports and GDPR deletions for account holders.
The pattern is consistent: the APIs let a business operate its own presence on Trustpilot. Endpoints that read reviews are scoped to the business unit tied to the key, and private replies, invitations and deletions need OAuth on top of the key. Nothing in the family is designed for reading a competitor's, a supplier's or a prospect's reviews at scale.

How do you get Trustpilot API access?
API keys are issued through a Trustpilot Business account, from the account's integrations settings, and OAuth credentials for private endpoints come from the same place (developers.trustpilot.com, checked September 7, 2026). A developer without a business account has no key to obtain, and a business's key reads that business's reviews, not another company's. Build any workflow on the assumption that the official route covers your own profile only.
For any-company review data, the practical route is reading the public review pages. They are visible to anyone without a login, but sit behind a managed bot wall that returns a JavaScript challenge to plain HTTP clients and to most browsers under automation. Every scraper in the table below either solves that wall itself or, in Datapika's case, routes requests through an anti-bot proxy included in the price.

Datapika lists $5 per 1,000 reviews as a single event with the proxy included, a free company profile row with TrustScore, rating distribution and reply rate, source-side filters for stars, dates, languages, verified and replied, and a deep sweep that combines filter streams to pass Trustpilot's 200-review limit; a 1,500-review sweep measured 320 seconds.
The cheapest listing is ten times cheaper per row. Choose it for bulk pulls where a captured token or occasional failed run is acceptable; choose the flat event when the run has to work first time from a schedule or an agent with nothing to paste in.

Is there a free Trustpilot API?
Not for reading other companies' reviews. Trustpilot's APIs come with a Trustpilot Business account and are scoped to that business. Public review pages are free to read in a browser but offer no export. Scrapers on the Apify Store charge from $0.50 per 1,000 reviews as of September 7, 2026.
Can I get TrustScore for a list of companies?
Yes, without touching the official API. Datapika's scraper returns one free company row per input with trustScore, stars, numberOfReviews, ratingDistribution, categories, replyPercentage and averageDaysToReply; set maxReviews to 1 for a profile-only benchmark across many domains.
Why do scrapers stop at 200 reviews?
Trustpilot serves 10 pages of 20 reviews for any one filter combination, so a single stream never passes 200. Datapika's deep sweep requests many combinations of star, date bucket and language and de-duplicates by review ID, which recovered 1,500 Airbnb reviews in 320 seconds on September 7, 2026.
Does the scraper need cookies or a Trustpilot login?
No. It reads public pages through an anti-bot proxy included in the price; no cookie, account or app token is pasted in. Some competing scrapers depend on a captured mobile-app token that expires and halts every run until it is replaced.
Is scraping Trustpilot reviews legal?
Reviews are public and shown to anyone without a login, and the scraper collects only the fields visible on the page, with reviewer data limited to display name, country and review count.
