Do I need a YouTube Data API key or quota?
No. The scraper reads public YouTube pages without a Google account or API key, so there is no daily quota to manage. It returns metadata, comments and stats; it does not download video files or transcripts.
How many YouTube videos does one request return?
Channel lists return 30 videos per request, Shorts lists about 48 and comment pages 20, so 1,000 videos usually take about a minute. Set maxItems to cap the rows per channel, link or keyword.
What does a YouTube channel row include?
The channel ID and URL, name, bio, avatar, subscriber count, total views, video count and join date. In a run on October 9, 2026, the Marques Brownlee channel returned 21,400,000 subscribers, 5,753,540,410 total views and 1,800 videos.
How is the YouTube scraper priced?
